#teamequusphoto - Rose's Blog

Hello everyone, I'll start by introducing myself...I'm Rose Carnegie, I am 26yrs old and am based in Tunbridge Kent! I am a qualified human and equine Osteopath and also a 4* event rider, its safe to say life is pretty hectic!! I work at various locations across Kent and also in Covent Garden, London.

Now you know a bit about me I'll introduce you to my lovely horses....the first is my pride and joy, LANDINE, I have had her since she was 7 yrs old and she is now 13yrs old. I produced her through the grades and in 2015 we successfully completed our first 4* at Badminton together.

Im lucky enough to have another advanced horse MASTER RORY. I rode Rory for an owner before buying him myself and he has exceeded all expectations. His best result to date is finishing 6th in first CCI*** at Haras Du Pin in France this year!

MASTER RORY came from a contact I have in Ireland and it has since materialised that there are several other offspring by the same mare as Rory...the mare has fantastic breeding being by Master Imp so when the other brothers and sisters came up for sale I just couldn't resist! They have all come as unbroken 2yr old and 3yr olds. Unfortunately for my bank balance there is another 6 month old filly for sale by Luidam!!

The first of the 'family' is BROTHER JAMES, I absolutely adore him. Cross country he is a machine and has a wise head on him for a 4yr old. He is very cheeky though and can be a little naughty at times.

The next member is SISTER SUE, a 3yr old, I've just backed her and she is by far the easiest horse I have ever had! I have had some fun introducing her to jumping the last couple of weeks and she seems great so I have high hopes for her.

The last member of the family is Archies Girl, a 2 yr old by French stallion called Koro D'or. Im yet to do anything with her by she seems to have a lovely attitude and a great temperament.

I also have the most gorgeous 4yr old Dun Connemara gelding called BALLYGLEN BANTIM aka Richard. He is going to make someone a serious FEI pony, I think really highly of him.

As I write this there is only 3 months until the first event of the season which I just know will fly by! Last night I went through my diary adding numerous dates for showjumping and dressage competitors to do during the winter months. Hopefully when March comes and the events start Team Carnegie will be making their mark on the eventing circuit...we can but hope!!!

The big aim for LANDINE is Badminton once again and for MASTER RORY, Burghley. SISTER SUE and BROTHER JAMES will be aimed at the young horse classes whilst Richard will aim to progress to BENov at some point during the season.

I hope you enjoy following me through the higher and lows of the sport!

Rose xx
